How to disguise age spots and dark circles under the eyes?

Regardless of whether we stopped by

“You hit your face with a fist, or you yourself hit your forehead on a doorframe, the very next day after the blow, the skin around your eyes will show off a gorgeous black eye. The reason for this is that the tissue around the eyes is very delicate and loose, so it is easiest for blood to get into this area of the face. To narrow the blood vessels and slow down the spread of blood, it is recommended that immediately after receiving a blow, apply a cold compress to the site of the injury - ice, a compress with cold water, or a metal object.

However, if the blow was strong

, preventing the appearance of a black eye under the eye is not so easy. After all, the skin and soft tissues are already damaged after the impact, small blood vessels have burst. On the first day, only a lump will form at the site of the blow, and the next day a bruise will appear under the eye. After a few days, the bruise turns yellow, then turns green and gradually turns brown. Without the use of ointments and masks that accelerate the healing of bruises, the black eye will not disappear before 2 weeks, which is very frustrating for those who cannot sit at home and wait for the bruise to resolve on its own.

Black eye of beauty

does not add. Wearing dark glasses in this situation is also not a solution, but only another reason for gossip and doubts about the adequacy of a sexual partner. In order for the black eye to become invisible, and you can go to work or meet with friends without fear of becoming an object of ridicule, you will have to disguise the bruise with the help of makeup, the intricacies of which we want to introduce you to.

With makeup

bright hematomas require “heavy artillery”; it will not be possible to disguise a black eye using only foundation or powder. To hide the defect at least a little, they will have to be applied in several layers, but something like this immediately catches the eye. The situation is also aggravated by the fact that foundations dry out the skin of the eyelids, which makes all the wrinkles around the eyes more noticeable.

It is naive to believe that a bruise can be disguised with a special pencil

. It is not intended to work with the delicate skin of the eyelids, so to quickly solve the problem you will have to buy a concealer, which is an excellent means of cosmetic camouflage. Several types of concealers are available; to hide a large and pronounced black eye, it is best to opt for a high-quality concealer. For example, use a stick concealer that has a thicker texture.

Concealer

contains ingredients that improve blood and lymph circulation in capillaries that are damaged. The color of the concealer is selected individually in each case. If the bruise is fresh, it is better to use a light green or yellowish shade of concealer; in tandem with the blue color of the black eye, they will give the optimal result.

Procedure after injury

To disguise a bruise, you will need cosmetics with a dense texture that can “cover” the color spot. This is the first thing to consider when choosing cosmetics. If we talk about specific means, it could be one of the following.

Reddish and pinkish shades, according to the rules of color correction, can neutralize the blue and make the bruise invisible. A good choice, for example, is Effacernes Long Tenue from Lancôme in a soft pink shade.

And if you've forgotten how to use color correctors, watch our instructional video.

You need a thick cream with a formula rich in pigments. A product with a radiant effect like Touche Éclat from Yves Saint Laurent Beauté can also be useful - it will help create a coating that will distract attention from the bruise due to light reflection.

It must be stable and sufficiently concentrated, that is, dense and thick. Only in this case will the product be able to hide the bruise. When choosing what to “cover up” a color spot, take a closer look, for example, at the All Nighter foundation from Urban Decay.

When you just hit yourself, apply cold to the injured area. A bottle of water from the refrigerator, ice, or a piece of meat from the freezer will do. To avoid further injury to the skin, wrap ice or other frozen product in a piece of cloth.

If you don’t have anything cold at hand, a coin, a metal spoon, or a handkerchief dipped in cold water will do.

The area around the eyes is a delicate area; during the cooling process, take 2-3 minute breaks every 10 minutes. In other places the compress can be left for half an hour.

Cold helps stop capillary bleeding, reduce swelling, and reduce pain. If the pain is severe, you should not endure it. Take a painkiller or analgesic tablet.

Analgin, no-spa, paracetamol, spasmalgon will help you. Taking aspirin will not be advisable; in addition to pain relief, it also thins the blood, and this is inappropriate in this situation.

Covering up a bruise on the face is quite difficult, because not every foundation can hide a bruise.

The hematoma causes discomfort and makes it impossible to show up at work. The correct placement of makeup accents helps.

Selection of cosmetics

The modern cosmetics industry provides a wide variety of products to disguise certain defects on the skin of the face. Concealer is easy to use and shows optimal results - a special product that covers bruises, age spots, circles under the eyes, etc. For ease of use, it is produced in several forms:

  • Liquid.
  • Cream.
  • Stick.
  • Pencil.

Some concealers also contain medicinal components, for example, antioxidants, drying and whitening agents, which help not only cover up, but also quickly eliminate defects. To smoothly even out the color tone of small bruises, a cream is well suited, the soft texture of which will ensure a smooth transition. It is better to cover large bruises using a stick - applying concealer pointwise and then blending with a brush.

While there should be no issues with the density of the concealer, choosing the right color is more difficult. Since the black eye gradually changes its color from burgundy to bluish, and then becomes green and yellow, a different camouflage composition is needed. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the color of the skin itself. You can get optimal results using the following concealers:

  • Blue - for burgundy-red hematomas.
  • Yellow is for purple bruises.
  • Orange - for blue-green areas.
  • Violet – for skin with a yellowish tint.

Concealer is the most effective way to disguise bruises, but not everyone has it. Much more often in a cosmetic bag you can find foundation, powder, eye shadow, and makeup base. When used correctly, they will also help to paint over an unpleasant defect.

To hide a bruise on your face, you can use various means. Most often, concealer is used for these purposes.

How to quickly cover up a black eye at home?

Important! Methods for eliminating fresh bruises cannot be used if at least a day has passed since the injury.

  • How to brush your teeth correctly: the secrets of a beautiful smile
  1. Immediately after a bruise appears, you need to cool the area of the injury. Make a compress of ice or some frozen product and leave for 10 minutes. If the pain occurs again, you can repeat the procedure after a while. On the first day after a bruise, you need to touch the bruise as little as possible, much less put pressure on it.
  2. If a hematoma appears on your leg, try to find an opportunity to lie down and raise your legs above your chest. This way the blood will gradually drain from the damaged area, which will prevent the bruise from growing.
  3. Apply ointment for bruises, preferably with a cooling effect. This will help relieve swelling and inflammation. Anti-bruise products usually contain heparin or dexpanthenol.

If more than a day has passed since the injury, the bruise has darkened and acquired a blue, purple or greenish color, proceed as follows.

  1. If a dark bruise has already formed, the injured area should be warmed up. A heating pad, a warm fabric compress or a cream with a warming effect (products with badyaga, capsaicin and snake venom) are suitable for this.
  2. Take a painkiller with a decongestant effect. The most common ones are aspirin and ibuprofen. They should be taken only if the hematoma site is swollen.
  3. Ointments with arnica extract, vitamin K, aloe juice, and pineapple extract also help.
  4. In addition to pharmaceutical drugs, home methods can help treat bruises quite well. For example, an onion compress will be useful due to its high content of vitamin C, which accelerates healing.
  5. Do you urgently need to hide a bruise? Top it off with a high coverage foundation with yellow undertones.

The skin on the face is thinner than on the body, which means that the blood vessels are closer, and a bruise can form even as a result of minor damage. What to do if your face is decorated with a harmful bruise?

  1. Inexpensive pharmacy ointments with badyaga, “Troxevasin”, “Bruise OFF” will help.
  2. Apply ice or iodine to the hematoma.
  3. Make a compress from raw potatoes or onions and leave for a couple of hours.
  4. Until the bruise completely disappears, you will have to disguise it with a thick concealer that matches your skin tone. Another option is to apply yellow concealer to the hematoma and cover it with a tone-on-tone product.

It often happens that after invasive cosmetic procedures, bluish marks may appear under the eyes. In this case, do the following:

  1. Apply a cold compress to the bruise, but do not hold it longer than 15 minutes to avoid overcooling the eye.
  2. Use ointment with badyagi or leech extract.
  3. A potato compress will help lighten the hematoma.

After training or an injury, you may notice a bluish spot on your leg or arm. Use the general recommendations for eliminating bruises that we gave above. The best remedies: cold compress, potatoes, celery or parsley, calendula, iodine, badyaga.

How to disguise age spots and dark circles under the eyes?

Bobbi Brown International Art Director Eduardo Ferreira reveals his secret method for covering up bruises and pigmentation, and explains how to choose the right shade of concealer.

Eduardo Ferreira is a holiday man and a super-pro. We have known this for a long time. Yulia interviewed him and did summer makeup with him, and recently he gave 5 invaluable tips for age makeup and helped us make the coolest material “Young grandmothers: a luxury school apron,” where Yana Z.’s mother and her friend told how they survived without highlighters, concealers, hair dryers and lipsticks with just that finish.

This time he shows how to completely erase the most desperate bruises and hard-to-camouflage pigment spots from your face using the new Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealers.

The release claims: the concealers have a dense and at the same time weightless coverage, do not crease or smudge, last all day and disguise dark circles as if you slept for the entire 8 hours required.

Eduardo Ferreira shows how to use them correctly. First - on Masha, who had not only bruises on her skin, but also mosquito bites :)

Masha: “I’m very (very!) excited on camera - this is the first time I’ve had the chance to become a model for a video. And right away - from such a master as Eduardo. He turned out to be terribly charismatic, just a lighter man! Came at 8-00 in the morning, cheerful, vigorous, energetic. Compared to him, Yulia and I looked like sleep-deprived little green men.

I really liked the makeup. Never in my life have I had such huge anime eyes! What he conjured up with the eyeliner is a mystery, although, I dare say, an even tone under the eyes is also damn important here. By the way, the maestro politically correctly called all sorts of pimples and redness from the mosquitoes that attacked me at night - friends. Well, aren’t we cute?”

At Yulia, Eduaro showed a completely unusual way of masking age spots. We really haven't seen this before.

Julia: “I’ve known for a long time that Eduardo paints so well. We shot more than one video with him, only before I was usually not in the frame, but behind him -).

What and how he did with my pigment is an interesting technique. (I won’t tell you specifically, watch the video!) Although, I admit, I’ve gotten used to my stain and don’t mask it in any way, neither with thick concealers, nor color correctors, nor anything. It already seems to me that this is from the same opera as sculptors painting a different nose for themselves or turning a round face into an oval one. It seems possible, but why?

I'll say a few words about the concealer itself. This is an interesting thing: it has a dryish texture, and a very, very high degree of coverage. More than my favorite Nars, which I always cite as an example of outstanding camouflage capabilities. In general, if you have bruises, try it.”

Cosmetics to solve the problem

A competent approach consists in selecting a whole range of cosmetic products suitable for the skin type and shade of the hematoma.

To apply special makeup you will need the following products:

  1. Moisturizer or lotion.
  2. Concealer.
  3. Concealer.
  4. Powder.

The entire set of concealers is not always at hand. You can save your face and feel confident using basic cosmetics.

The time to use targeted pharmaceuticals comes after you have applied cold and stopped the spread of subcutaneous hemorrhage. A number of medications are available in pharmacies to treat unpleasant bruise marks.

They are divided into groups:

  1. Ointments in the formulation of which troxerutin or heparin rank first. They help in the treatment of bruises, resolve hematomas, prevent inflammation;
  2. Nonsteroidal medications (NSAIDs). Aimed at preventing inflammation and swelling;
  3. Warming ointments. Due to slight irritation of the receptors, blood flow is activated. This way the injured area recovers faster;
  4. Therapeutic masking creams. The recipe contains anti-inflammatory components and pigmented microparticles that allow camouflage of skin defects.

Heparin ointment

The main ingredient of this drug actively fights the consequences of injuries - bruises, bruises and hematomas. Heparin by its nature is an anticoagulant, resolves blood clots formed under the surface of the skin, improves the condition of capillaries and small vessels.

Treats bruises, injuries, bruises, subcutaneous hematomas, is effective in the treatment of trophic ulcers, swelling, internal and external hemorrhoids.

Apply 2-3 times a day for 3-7 days. Causes bruise resorption already on the third day after the first application.

Heparin-based ointments:

  • Lyoton-gel – 315 RUR/30 g;
  • Trombless gel – 210 RUR/30 g;
  • Lavenum – 195 rub./30 g;
  • Heparin-Acrigel – 150 rub./30 g.

Troxevasin

The main active ingredient of this drug is troxerutin. It strengthens capillaries, prevents their fragility, helps get rid of swelling and inflammation.

Apply the ointment 2 times a day; do not use on open wounds. Rub the gel in with light massaging movements until completely absorbed.

Medicines based on troxerutin:

  • Troxevasin – 190 rub./40 g;
  • Troxerutin – 60 rub./40 g.

Bruise-off

The product is based on leech extract, pentoxifylline, ethoxydiglycol, carbomer. Cost – from 100 rubles. The gel helps to quickly get rid of the visible results of injuries on the face. It has a resolving effect and reduces swelling. Do not use if you have problems with blood clotting.

To achieve a speedy recovery, apply “Bruise-off” at least 5 times a day.

Express bruise

It is important to apply the drug immediately after the injury. If you apply it immediately after the blow, there is a high probability that the bruise will not “spread” across the face. When used within 2 hours, the effects will subside on the second or third day.

The instructions say to apply the cream up to 5 times a day.

Preparations with arnica

This medicinal plant is known for its regenerative properties. Arnica is used as the main ingredient in many medicines, because it is known for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.

Popular pharmacy offers:

  • Arnica DN – 190 rub.;
  • Arnica GF – 180 rubles;
  • Vitateka – 260 rub. Cream based on arnica and badyagi;
  • Arnigel – 50 rub.

What concealers can cover up dark circles under the eyes?

A concealer with a dense structure does a better job of concealing a bruise. It is important to use it if there is a bruise in the eye area.

Before camouflage makeup, the skin must be cleansed in advance with lotion, lightly moisturized with cream, then you can begin applying cosmetics.

You can use concealer in the form of a stick, pencil, cream, or liquid. It is not recommended to choose a thick pencil if the bruise site is covered with skin wrinkles.

The soft texture helps smooth surface leveling. The stick is convenient to apply by spot applying the product to the bruise, then blending with a sponge.

The choice of concealer color depends on your current skin tone.

It is recommended to combine shades:

  • Orange - with a blue-green bruise;
  • Yellow - with a purple, blue hematoma;
  • Blue - with a dark red area;
  • Green - with a brown spot;
  • Purple - with a yellowing bruise.

After application, you need to wait a little while the product is absorbed, then carefully shade the area, slightly going beyond its outline. The coating layer should be thin.

2How to disguise dark circles under the eyes?

Many girls suffer from dark circles under their eyes. Lack of sleep and regular spending time in front of a computer monitor causes a bluish tint to the skin. The skin under the eyes is most often affected. Beauties begin to complex and hide imperfect color with the help of camouflage foundations. But not everyone succeeds in disguise. Sometimes, the wrong selection of foundation can highlight imperfections and even facial wrinkles. To disguise dark circles under your eyes, you need:

  • Step 1 - apply hydrogel patches (they can be replaced with lotions made from chamomile or black tea infusion) for 10-15 minutes;
  • Step 2 - remove excess liquid from the skin and apply a cream with a light texture (it is advisable to use a special eye product), wait until it is completely absorbed;
  • Step 3 - carefully apply a peach (for those with dark skin tones) or pink (if your skin is fair) concealer;
  • Step 4 - Apply liquid foundation by patting to the area of dark circles;
  • Step 5 - to consolidate the result, use transparent rice powder (it will not harm the thin skin under the eyes and will protect against the development of wrinkles).

Remember that high-quality camouflage makeup can only be achieved with good cosmetics. Be sure to treat the blow with special means.

Concealer

If you don't have concealer, you can cover the bruise with thick foundation. An important factor is pre-moisturizing the skin. The camouflage layer should not be thick, this will emphasize facial wrinkles. Application requires some skill and creativity.

Foundation should be selected according to skin type. You can cover the defect with your finger, lightly rubbing a thin layer of cream from the center to the periphery. You can set camouflage makeup with transparent powder. Application should be delicate and light.

The emphasis on the expressiveness of the eyes with the help of shadows and eyeliner will distract people's attention. The technique of contrast works to emphasize advantages and disguise shortcomings.

Quick corrector

A soft crumbly corrector helps remove a bruise. It is not recommended to use hard-textured concealer pencils on delicate areas of the eyelids. After basic skin treatment, the product is applied along the edges of the hematoma and in the center, then the layer is shaded with a brush.

The color of the tone must be selected in accordance with the makeup, ensuring the smooth transitions at the boundaries of healthy skin and hiding the hematoma.

If necessary, use matte blush, highlighting light areas on the frontal part and in the center of the nose, in order to use matting to give the correct contour and emphasize the oval.

Rescue powder

From different types of powder, it is worth choosing a concealing variety, which is designed to hide skin defects. If the bruise at the disappearance stage has acquired a yellow color, then you can disguise it with bronze powder, replacing foundation.

The cosmetic product helps to change the tone of the face, give a tan effect, and hide the yellowness of a fading bruise. It is important not to overdo it with the amount so as not to lose the naturalness of your makeup.

Decorative cosmetics add brightness to your appearance and increase confidence that a bruise will not disrupt your current plans.

  • How to cover up a bruise on your face?
  • How to hide a bruise with makeup: step-by-step instructions
  • Tips from makeup artists
  • In a situation where you need to hide a bruise on your face, makeup is simply irreplaceable. The material contains more details about what needs to be done to hide a bruise on the face as effectively as possible.

How quickly does skin recover?

Hematomas tend to change color during the healing process. By the color of the skin you can determine at what stage of recovery the injured area is. The change in tone is explained by processes occurring in the subcutaneous space.

The formation and development of subcutaneous bruising can be divided into several stages, after reviewing which it becomes clear how quickly bruises on the face disappear:

  1. During an impact, depending on its strength, small vessels and capillaries located under the skin are damaged. Internal bleeding opens, which explains why the bruise site becomes reddish. After the bleeding stops, the blood begins to thicken and clot. As it oxidizes, it darkens. The bruises will be deep blue or blue-violet. This happens within 24 hours.
  2. White blood cells (leukocytes) accumulate in the damaged area and destroy red blood cells. And hemoglobin, in which this destruction occurs, begins to produce a greenish pigment. The bruise takes on a green tint. This occurs approximately on the fifth or sixth day.
  3. When enough bilirubin is produced at the site of the impact, the healing defect begins to turn yellow. The internal contents begin to collapse, and the hematoma itself gradually disappears.

If bruises are left untreated, it will take 8 to 14 days to heal, while a severe blow will take up to 20 days to heal. You can significantly speed up this process.

The speed at which the hematoma drains depends on its size. The explanation is simple: the more blood has accumulated under the skin, the more time it will take to resolve.

As noted earlier, cold compresses can constrict blood vessels and stop bleeding. This should be done every 2 hours during the first 24 hours after injury. Without help, a black eye will go away in 10-12 days, and if you provide first aid in time, you can reduce this time by 1.5-2 times.

Now comes the turn of warming lotions and creams, they help thin the blood and quickly heal the injury. Remember: using heat is only allowed after swelling has subsided. Otherwise you will achieve the opposite effect.

Ointments with heparin can solve the problem after 4 days, provided that the hematoma is not too extensive. Run to the pharmacy as soon as you are injured; do not wait several days and waste time.

If you place a high pillow under your head while you sleep, the swelling will subside sooner, and you can quickly start using pharmaceutical ointments. This cannot be called a radical method of treatment. The fact that this speeds up the recovery process will be confirmed by athletes and people whose activities involve frequent injuries.

If you apply salt or vinegar compresses to the painful spot, you can reduce the treatment time to 3-5 days. You can take iodized or sea salt, it will be beneficial.

Additional recommendations

Drug therapy copes well with the task, tips will help you forget about the unpleasant situation even faster:

  1. Walk outdoors every day for at least half an hour a day. Saturation of blood with oxygen has a positive effect on the resorption of subcutaneous hemorrhages.
  2. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet without taking vitamins A and C.
  3. Dedicate several days a week to exercise. Active time allows cells to be saturated with oxygen, and this helps strengthen the walls of blood vessels. As a result, hematomas will be less noticeable and disappear faster.

A hematoma on the face or a bruise is a problem that is almost impossible to hide from others. Anyone can receive such “decoration”. To do this, it is not at all necessary to get into a fight or fall under the hot hand; it is enough to inadvertently damage soft tissues and disrupt the integrity of blood vessels. If they burst, a cavity with blood will form under the skin or directly in it.

The brain will quickly receive a signal about this and start the regeneration process. However, this will not stop the owner of a black eye from undergoing a color transformation. The eye turns blue, after a while it begins to turn green, and after that the area of the bruise will acquire a jaundiced tint. If you don’t want to walk around with such “beauty” all this time, you need to take action. The first step is to find out how to cover up dark circles under your eyes.

Concealing a bruise on the face

Many people, meeting a man or woman on the street with a bruise under the eye or on another visible part of the face, automatically write down such a person as a lover of walking and drinking - that is, almost as an outcast. In fact, almost no one is immune from the appearance of a hematoma on the face, even the most righteous person. Often bruises appear in mothers, whom the child may accidentally hit with a toy - this is especially typical for those people who are characterized by increased fragility of blood vessels. If such a nuisance has happened to you, then try to disguise the hematoma so that others do not think badly of you.

If you accidentally hit yourself and the result is a noticeable bruise that you cannot hide under clothing, then the first thing you should do is try to speed up its healing. Depending on how badly you hurt yourself, the bruise may be very dark—almost black—or purple in color. Over time, it becomes paler and finally turns yellow, after which it goes away completely. In many cases, the time for hematoma reduction to several hours can be reduced by using badyaga gel, which can be purchased at any pharmacy. The pharmacy range of drugs that are used for bruises is not limited to this gel alone - the pharmacist will advise you on the most effective remedy, based on your financial capabilities.

In the event that all measures to speed up the healing of the hematoma have not led to the desired result and you still have to go out in public with a bruise, try to disguise it using decorative cosmetics. A foundation in a shade close to your skin will help you with this. Choose a product that has a fairly dense texture - liquid cream-powder will do little to help you mask the hematoma. If cream alone is not enough to make the bruise invisible, use concealer or eye shadow base. In this case, a purple or purple bruise will help to disguise an orange-colored concealer, while a product containing a yellow pigment will help to hide a blue-green hematoma from others. On the contrary, a lilac-colored product will best help disguise an already almost disappearing pale yellow bruise.

Unfortunately, in some cases, no attempts to disguise the bruise bring any satisfactory effect. Then only sunglasses will help you; however, if you do not have a short haircut, then you can style your hair in such a way that one of the strands covers the hematoma.

By the way, if you are not very dependent on public opinion, you don’t have to try to hide the hematoma at all: after all, many people have bruises from time to time, and where and how you got them should not bother anyone.
