The whites of the eyes are shining, what does this mean? To make your eyes sparkle...

The sparkle of the eyes is not a gift from generous nature, and not the merit of our parents. Only we ourselves can make our eyes truly sparkle. Therefore, here you won’t be able to complain about the fact that nature did not reward you with thick hair or plump lips, and give up, or, on the contrary, take too drastic measures. Everything is in our hands, and in order to make your eyes sparkle, there is no need at all to resort to the help of doctors, cosmetologists and other magicians. You just need to know simple methods with which you can make your eyes shine.

Shine in the eyes from fatigue

Prolonged work at a computer monitor leads to the appearance of shine in the eyes. This symptom signals the need to take a break or get away from work for a few days. Prolonged work with small particles also leads to the appearance of shine in the eyes, which indicates overfatigue of the visual apparatus. The organs of vision become glassy even after watching TV for a long time.

Due to overwork of the visual apparatus, ophthalmological abnormalities may appear, which can provoke a decrease in visual acuity. Prevention of eye shine from fatigue includes:

  • daily eye exercises;
  • restorative masks for the eyelid;
  • breaks from work every hour for a few minutes.

“Black eyes”: how to easily draw shining eyes

The glossiest varnish for doll eyes does not give the same depth effect as human eyes. Here you need to add something when painting. And the most difficult thing is to draw black eyes, since the iris merges with the pupil, and you can’t separate the shades. That's why we'll talk about them.

First, let's translate the effect we want to achieve into the language of colors. Shining, shiny eyes - this means that we need the white in some places, where the light falls, to shine “whiter than white.” And the black iris was not a solid black circle with a white speck of highlight, but had depth, that is, it was shades of black.

Now that we have reformulated the task, the way to achieve the result is already visible. Drawing an eye has two components - the iris and the white of the eye. Let's look at them one by one. And the principle that will help us easily add liveliness to the eyes is the same in both cases.

So, we need to paint the eyes with shades of white and black in such a way as to create volume and shine. Of course, not all shades are suitable for this. Knowing contrasting colors will help us.

Opposite colors on the color wheel, if placed side by side, make each other brighter: a scarlet rose blazes with flame on the greenery of a bush and fades in a red room.

And now - the eyes

White of the eye

We need shades of white that, firstly, contrast with each other, and secondly, are natural for the white of the human eye. We will use them to draw shadow and light. Thanks to the contrast of shades, the light part will look “lighter”, “whiter than white” - which is what we want to achieve. A couple of colors suggest themselves - this is from a brown tone - beige, it will merge with the color of the skin and the shadow of the white of the eye will look natural. From blue tone - light blue. Children and some winter-type people have bluish whites, and their eyes appear especially bright. Mix these colors with white and draw the whites of the eyes. Under the upper eyelid and in the corners, where the eyes are more shaded - white with beige. Around the iris, on the most convex part of the white of the eye, there is a bluish white.

A little white is enough to achieve a natural shine. And if you use more intense shades, your eyes will simply sparkle, like this:

In fact, her whites are not white at all, it looks that way because of the contrast.

Drawing a black iris

Contrasting colors, as seen on the color wheel, are the blue-brown pair. Mix black-blue and black-brown. We draw eyes with them. Thanks to the contrast of the added shades, black ceases to look like a single spot and begins to “play.” In the diagram I make more colored shades for clarity. In reality it can be darker.

Now we draw smaller strokes, lighter places - in any way familiar to you, with the difference that we continue to apply the principle of contrast. Where black was based on blue, we paint on top with a slightly lightened black-brown, and vice versa - we use black-blue in those places where the base color of the iris was based on brown. For black eyes, a special point is that a lighter shade should be present around the pupil so that it does not blend in color with the iris. Let me illustrate with a diagram:

As usual, we make a highlight and cover it with varnish. And in the end we get the following result on the doll:

As you can see, everything is simple :)

In addition to eye color, there is also a shape that gives expression to the eyes: the next master class will be about smiling.

Diseases whose symptom is shine in the eyes

The appearance of shine may indicate the presence of diseases of the visual apparatus:

  • Keratitis. Irreversible dystrophic processes in the cornea lead to complete or partial loss of visual function. Pathology develops against the background of infectious, inflammatory processes or injuries. The development of keratitis can be triggered by an allergic reaction or chemical poisoning. In addition to the shine in the eyes, clouding of the cornea, the sensation of foreign particles in the area of the organs of vision, and photophobia are possible.
  • Conjunctivitis. The disease is accompanied by hyperemia, inflammation or pain. Before severe symptoms, a shine appears in the eyes, which indicates an infectious lesion of the visual apparatus.
  • Dystrophic processes in the cornea. Genetic pathologies can cause reactions. Dystrophic changes and blurred vision are not interrelated and can develop independently of each other.

Signs and symptoms of colds in children

As a rule, parents notice a cold in a child only when it is already expressed in its full form. But why is this happening? The thing is that the symptoms of the disease begin in the most sudden way. The baby fell asleep calmly, there was no illness, but in the morning he already had:

A runny nose is noticed;

The eyes sparkle;

A cough appeared.

But in the evening the child may become very ill, and the temperature may rise. And now we can say with 100% certainty that the disease is progressing. If the form of a cold is of this nature, then identifying the first signs of the disease will not be very easy. After all, as soon as you notice that something is wrong, it is already too late to do anything, because the disease has progressed, and its treatment will not be very simple.

Development of signs of a childhood cold

As a rule, on the first day the baby’s temperature begins to rise, his eyes shine, and his cheeks are red. On the second day, the child develops a cough and runny nose. But do not forget that everything can happen completely differently. A sore throat may begin, and the possibility of watery eyes cannot be ruled out. After a couple of days, the mucus that was in the nose becomes green and thick, and the baby’s temperature begins to slowly drop.

Also, the first sign of a cold in your child can be the fact that he has become more capricious. But it's worth paying attention to when there's no reason for him to be upset. He is not hungry, he slept well. Also, with cold symptoms, appetite disappears and lethargy appears. If your baby is sick, then he needs plenty of drinking water, as well as rest.

In general, it is possible to understand that your child has a cold, but it is not very easy, because the baby does not understand that he has a cold, so he will not be able to explain his symptoms.

Useful video

Eyes become shiny due to overwork, emotional mood or pathological condition. Diseases of the visual apparatus, in addition to shine, are accompanied by additional symptoms. Therefore, in the presence of an exclusively glassy gaze, it is necessary to reconsider the work and rest regime.

Causes

It’s not for nothing that people say that eyes are the mirror of our soul. But they become glass not because a mirror is glass through which we can look into the soul, but because our eyes are directly connected to the nervous system. They will tell you what is happening to the person at the moment.

If you feel good and joyful, they glow with happiness; if your soul is filled with pain and sadness, your eyes become sad. They convey our state of mind. It has been noticed that even after a person has died, the pupils still react to light for some time.

Emotional shock

Why can eyes be glassy? What does this look say?

First of all, about emotions: the person is not with you now, he is indifferent to everything that happens to him. The look becomes empty, detached, cold - glassy.

From a psychological point of view, a glassy gaze indicates exhaustion and psychological weakness of the patient or indicates that the person has renounced the world around him and hid his soul from those around him. It is often said about a person with glassy eyes that he has withdrawn into himself - that he has withdrawn from the world around him.

The reason for this state is events that knock him out of the usual rhythm of life: some kind of shock occurs, depression sets in.

The most common reason is the loss (illness) of a loved one, great grief, and emotional stress.

Eye diseases

Often the cause of a glassy, unnatural look can be ophthalmological diseases. In addition to a blank look, eye diseases cause changes in the color of the cornea and its transparency. These signs are characteristic of the following diseases:

  • Keratitis. With this disease, the gaze becomes glassy, the cornea becomes cloudy, tearing and photophobia are observed, and a sensation of a foreign body in the eye is created.
  • Conjunctivitis. In addition to the inflammatory process (the reasons for its appearance are different), which is characteristic of conjunctivitis, there is a glassy look, swelling of the mucous membranes and eyelids, photosensitivity and burning.
  • Glassy eyes are also considered a symptom that is characteristic of corneal dystrophy. The doctor determines the degree of damage and selects appropriate treatment that relieves all symptoms and eliminates the causes of the disease.
  • With Graves' disease, half of the patients have a glassy, frightened look that accompanies this disease.
  • When you have a cold, your eyes also become glassy.

Today, these diseases are successfully treated by ophthalmologists.

Heavy eye strain

We, people living in networks, often forget to take care of our eyes, which experience enormous stress throughout the day. So, with a long stay in front of monitors, the functioning of the organ of vision is disrupted. At the same time, a person who works a lot in front of a screen may also have a glassy look.

Cosmetics to the rescue!

Shiny eyes also mean proper care of the skin around the eyes. No matter how beautiful and bewitching your eyes are, small wrinkles, bruises and swelling under the eyes will negate all their attractiveness.

To make your eyes sparkle and the skin around the eyes to be well-groomed, you need to use cosmetics that are suitable specifically for this area of the skin. You need to start caring for the skin around your eyes with proper cleansing. Regular cleansers are not suitable for this (unless they indicate that they can be used for the skin around the eyes). Choose a product that suits your consistency among special two-phase liquids, micellar solutions, and oil mixtures. Makeup remover milk is also perfect for these purposes.

Choose a cream for the skin around the eyes based on the current time of year and your skin type. In the summer, light gels for the skin around the eyes do an excellent job of moisturizing, and in the colder seasons you need to use a nourishing cream with a dense texture, which is applied in a small amount to the bones located under the eyes.

How to deal with redness?

Firstly, there are special products that instantly remove redness of the eyes caused by vasodilation and do everything to make the eyes shine. These are eye drops, such as Visine, Systane, Okumetil and others.

Secondly, folk remedies . For example, pre-chilled bags of brewed black tea have an excellent vasoconstrictor effect due to the tannic acid contained in the tea. Just apply tea bags to your closed eyes and lie there, relaxing, for 5 minutes. This procedure is not only intended to make your eyes sparkle. Tea bags can also help remove puffiness under the eyes.

Compresses also have a good effect . This flower is known for its beneficial soothing effect on the eyes. Remove the cornflower flowers from the baskets, and then brew 2 teaspoons of these flowers with a glass of boiling water. Wait 1 hour for the mixture to steep, cool it and strain. The infusion for compresses is ready.

And in any free minute, give your eyes the opportunity to rest . Look away from the computer, lightly press your fingers on your closed eyes, and do eye exercises, which not only removes the feeling of fatigue, but also prevents vision deterioration.

The best doctor for tired eyes is proper sleep . Don’t take away precious minutes of sleep by giving them away in favor of the next TV series or forum on the Internet. You need to sleep at night, and not continue to test the resistance of your own eyes to irritating factors.
