What to do to fix straight eyelashes
Uncurled eyelashes are a nuisance faced by girls and women who have undergone eye diseases, operations on the organs of vision, or have treated burns of this sensitive organ. Such interference damages the structure. Wellness procedures will correct the situation, the essence of which is the use of creams, gels, masks, serums, and other medicinal compounds. Cosmetologists recommend using oils to restore ends and roots:
- castor - lifts and restores;
- burdock - strengthens hair follicles, eliminates fragility;
- almond - makes hair elastic, easy to curl, stimulates their growth;
- Olive contains vitamins A, D and E, restores the structure of eyelashes;
- argan - nourishes the hairs from the inside, gradually making them darker;
- Jojoba oil moisturizes and strengthens cuticles;
- camphor prevents hair loss;
- flaxseed - nourishes and prolongs the life of the hair frame of the eyes;
- sea buckthorn - contains vitamins B, E and C, makes eyelashes thicker and fluffier;
- Cosmetologists recommend applying peach on the eyelids, it protects against the appearance of wrinkles, nourishes, and strengthens.
The results of oil treatments will not keep you waiting if you carry them out regularly. Before using the chosen product, an allergy test is carried out: a drop of oil is applied to the wrist and the reaction is monitored.
How to restore eyelashes at home
The general requirement before the procedure is to prepare and clean the skin. Apply the product exclusively with clean hands and carefully study the ingredients to avoid an allergic reaction.
Olive and burdock oil
An oil mix of available olive and burdock oil will effectively restore skin and eyelashes after the extension procedure. Olive oil beneficially moisturizes and nourishes the skin, and burdock oil accelerates blood circulation. Make the mixture in a 1:1 ratio. Warm the mix slightly in the microwave.
Apply the product to cleansed eyelashes using a cotton swab. It is recommended to do the procedure at night, but if you can avoid applying makeup in the morning, then also nourish your eyelashes during the day. Visible results will come after a month of use. This product is also used for eyebrows.
Decoction of black and green tea
Do not rush to throw away tea bags after brewing. An old and proven method of applying bags to the eyelid not only removes bags under the eyes, but also nourishes the skin and eyelashes. Starts the process of restoration and growth of eyelashes. Wring out the bags and apply them warm to the eyes. An option is to use tea leaves and cotton pads.
carrot juice
Freshly squeezed carrot juice and three drops of olive oil. This mask is easy to prepare at home. Apply with a cotton swab or clean brush to eyelashes morning and evening. Vitamin A, contained in carrot juice, has a beneficial effect on eyelash growth, and olive oil nourishes and saturates the skin with healthy fats. As a result, after two weeks, the eyelashes fall out less and new ones appear in the “bald” areas.
Simple twisting methods
You can get beautiful, long, curved eyelashes without extensions. Beauty experts believe that the operation can be performed without using special devices. Preference should be given to safer tools - cotton swabs, spoons, fingers. However, curling with tweezers, a brush with mascara, and other curling products is more effective, and the result lasts longer.
Using mascara
Mascara is applied and swirled, making the look more expressive. The method is simple and does not require much time to carry out the procedure. Disadvantages noted by cosmetologists:
- Short-term effect: washing straightens eyelashes and returns them to their original length.
- A high-quality product that gives hair the coveted flirty curl is expensive.
When choosing mascara, you should pay attention to the composition. Make sure that the product does not contain components that can cause an allergic reaction.
With tweezers
The curl turns out beautiful, neat, and done quickly. The advantage of the tool is the material, plastic does not injure the hairs. The disadvantage of the procedure is the need to repeat it daily, which worsens the condition of the eyelashes and makes them brittle.
Perm
The procedure is carried out in beauty salons. Cosmetologists use three techniques:
- basal;
- to bend;
- comprehensive.
Perm gives a long-term effect; the luxurious curl lasts up to three months. There are no prohibitions on wearing contact lenses, visiting the pool or sauna. The method makes eyelashes curved and voluminous. Minus - the frame of the eyes becomes discolored, they will have to be painted right away. After curling, care with medicinal oils is required.
The secret of curled eyelashes
Hi all! Hope you had a good week. As promised, a detailed description of the process of creating the effect of curled eyelashes.
To begin with, let us clarify that this information will be of interest to those who naturally have absolutely straight eyelashes without bending. If the eyelashes are good on their own, this is not relevant for you. So, let's look at the before and after, this is the effect we will talk about.
Girls with small eyes, narrow or drooping eyelids should pay special attention to this, because your eye will visually “open” and become wider. But those with round eyes need to be careful with it - the eye may become even rounder. With such a structure, it is advisable to additionally “stretch out” the eyes with makeup (which, by the way, is quite realistic, the eyes become even larger and more expressive)
What you will need to create this effect:
This set will be enough for you. Now consider each tool separately and find out how to act and what you should pay attention to.
1. Eyelash curler
I have Zinger, but there were others. In general, they last me a very long time and do not fail. Only the silicone pad wears out, and not quickly. What you should pay attention to? They should fit well on the eyelid and not stick. This often becomes clear during operation. I’ll tell you this: if you have chosen a suitable shape, take care of them and if the pad wears out, take any others and change only the pad. There are spare ones, but finding them on sale later is quite problematic.
2. Comb for eyebrows and eyelashes.
Attention here! It must have metal teeth
. A plastic comb will never give the same effect. It will simply roughly remove mascara from your eyelashes, form them into lumps and clog after the first use. The brand is not important in this case. Just finding them can be problematic. But it's worth it. Some people use a needle or pin instead, manually separating the eyelashes. But I would still recommend a comb. A needle increases the duration of the process and increases the risk of injury.
3. Mascara
Pay special attention here. Mascara must be waterproof
. Only this way and no other way. I'll explain why. In this case, the mascara acts as a fixative and the speed of its drying on the eyelashes, as well as the ability to hold a curl, is important. Only a good, waterproof mascara can give this result. I specifically did not indicate the brand name, because they can be varied. I wrote about my favorite mascara in a previous post about eyelashes. Those who read noticed that we discussed that it dries quickly and this is a minus. Now you know why this is a plus. If you are interested, I will write a rating of my favorite waterproof mascaras in the next post.
Now directly about the process and what you need to pay attention to.
1. We curl and paint the eyelashes last, because painting the interlash space of curled and painted eyelashes is very, very problematic.
2. Eyelashes must be clean. If there are remnants of mascara on the eyelashes, they will simply stick together when using a curling iron.
3. Curl eyelashes preferably in 2 stages, if length allows. This will make the bend smoother and more natural. The first stage is to curl the eyelashes as close to the eyelid as possible, the second in the middle of the length. The eyelashes must take the desired shape, because mascara will only fix them, but will not correct anything. Eyelashes may be curled a little more than necessary. The mascara will lower them slightly.
4. We paint the eyelashes not only from below, but also from above. Necessarily. If you learn to scroll the brush from above, the curl of your eyelashes will be very soft and natural.
5. If the mascara is a bit dry and does not cover well, place the brush vertically and brush it in the right places. This movement adds an extra twist.
6. Paint quickly. Mascara hardens quickly, and additional layers can create lumps and spider legs.
7. If necessary, comb the eyelashes and remove excess mascara, separate the stuck together eyelashes. We do this quickly before the mascara hardens. If you comb through frozen waterproof mascara, it will fall off.
8. If you are already well accustomed, you can skip the last point. When applied correctly, eyelashes do not stick together and no comb is required.
Thank you for your attention!
Curling your eyelashes alone will not give you a super effect in your makeup. But this is an important little detail that, together, will allow your eyes to look completely different. With your eyelashes you can pull out absolutely disastrous makeup and ruin a very good one. If you have a drooping outer corner of your eye, curling your eyelashes is generally your salvation.

How long do eyelashes grow after extensions?
How eyelashes will grow after extensions largely depends on the quality of the service provided and subsequent eye care. If the artist did not carefully apply the extensions and used low-quality materials or did not follow further rules for eyelash care, then recovery will take longer.
The more severely the eyelashes are injured, the longer the time required for their treatment and recovery.
Also, the growth of eyelashes depends on the state of health of the body and its individual characteristics; for some, regenerative functions are carried out in a short time, for others everything happens rather slowly. Restoring eyelash growth requires following standard recommendations to help with eyelash regrowth, such as using oils, taking vitamins, and ensuring gentle care of the eyelid area.

How fast do eyelashes grow?
Many people are concerned about the question: do eyelashes grow after they fall out? According to physiology, complete renewal of eyelashes is considered normal. On average, one eyelash is born and falls out within 30–100 days; life expectancy depends on many factors. Due to the fact that eyelashes grow in two or four rows and renewal occurs several at a time, during natural loss there is no visual sensation of emptiness. On average, a new eyelash grows by 0.5-0.7 mm per month.
The following factors influence how long a person’s eyelashes grow:
- Improper care of the eye area;
- Existing diseases of the body;
- Constant stress;
- Systematic injury to eyelashes;
- Low quality cosmetics;
- Ignoring proper nutrition;
- Bad ecology;
- Frequent eyelash extensions.
Sometimes it happens that eyelashes grow down or inside the eye. What to do in such cases? Firstly, under no circumstances should you pull them out - by pulling out an incorrectly growing eyelash, you can damage not only its bulb, but also the neighboring ones. Secondly, in the case of downward growth, you need to spend extra time twisting them; there are special tweezers for this.
But you should not do perms, although this will temporarily make life easier, but there is a risk of injuring your eyes and worsening the growth of already weak eyelashes.
If eyelashes grow inside the eye, you should carefully pull out the incorrectly growing hair, and to further strengthen them and ensure proper growth, treat them with oil.
