There are various Ayurvedic methods to improve vision . If proper eye care is not a priority, it can result in various eye disorders such as “weakening eye muscles”, cataracts, especially with age. Such conditions are the leading cause of incipient blindness throughout the world. In Ayurveda there is a description of defective vision or deviations in it - this is called 'Drishti Dosha'. Since vision is controlled by Pitta dosha, it is bile and its quality that affects the state of this dosha. In the human body, one of the five types of pitta (Alochaka Pitta) is responsible for maintaining proper vision, a function that weakens with age in humans. Alochaka pitta is found in the tissues of the eye - the retina, lens, color vision cells, optic nerve. Consequently, Alochaka pitta disorder can manifest itself as conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma with a progressive increase in eye pressure, and the appearance of floaters before the eyes. With cataracts, excess kapha accumulates in the lens and a situation is created in which pitta disturbs the kapha in the lens. Excess tejas leads to the burning of ojas in the lens of the eyes, and kapha, accumulating in them, makes them cloudy, opaque and impenetrable to light. Proper eye care is one of the preventive measures that is necessary, especially for a mature person, starting from 36-38 years old, and, naturally, in older age.
Here are some causes of visual impairment:
- prolonged constipation and nervous weakness,
-colds can also lead to visual defects,
-nervous and muscle tension,
-diabetes,
-excessive smoking, alcohol consumption,
- Drinks containing caffeine are also responsible for visual impairment.
-And, of course, a huge load when working on a computer and mobile devices.
Additional drugs and procedures recommended for eye treatment: Great benefits of Triphala mixture for the eyes:
1.Rinse eyes with Triphala. Take 1 tsp. powder (triphala churna), fill it with 200 ml. clean water. Leave for 8-10 hours (using distilled water is preferable). After this, boil the solution, cool it, and rinse your eyes with the warm solution. For this, special dough baths are made. You can make them yourself using raw dough. After rolling out the “sausages”, place them around the eye sockets. Blind them so that the liquid does not spill. Pour the resulting warm triphala solution into the “baths” you have made. Hold for 10 minutes.
2. There is another very useful panchekarmic procedure - Netra Basti. It is done in spas and clinics where panchakarma is performed. This is bathing the eyes in pure ghee. This procedure liquefies and removes toxins from the eye muscles.
3. It is also very beneficial to do daily exercises to improve your vision. It doesn't take long, 10-15 minutes. There is a lot of accessible and even free material on this subject on the Internet. There you can find classes in video format. They are carried out by specialists. These can be various seminars. For example, classes with Professor V. Zhdanov and others.

Himalaya ophthacare eye drops - review
Hi all!
I will share my impressions of using OphthaCare drops.
Bought in India. I then collected a whole bag of Himalaya products, and also bought drops. Although I knew about the existence of other Indian drops, very good ones. And I took these for the total quantity. It’s good to have at least one package, and not several, like various dietary supplements.
- On the side there is the composition and method of application:
Natural composition:
Yawani (Carum copticum) 6.00%Vibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) 6.50%Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) 13.00%Haridra (Curcuma longa) 13.00%Visnu priya (Sanctum Ocimum) 13.00%Satapatri (Rosa damascena) 11.00%Karpoora (Cinnamomum camphor) a) 0.50% Madhu (Meldespumatum) (Purified Honey) 37.00%
Preservative:
0.002% w/v phenyl mercuric nitrate
Madhu (honey) has strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, so it quickly relieves eye inflammation and heals wounds.
Satapatri (Persian rose) drops provide relief from eye strain and help get rid of computer vision syndrome due to its cooling and antibacterial properties.
Curcuma (turmeric) is the most famous antiseptic in Ayurveda. Amalaki (Indian gooseberry) is a rich source of vitamin C.
On the other side is the manufacturer, expiration date, price. It’s not overdue, I just got around to writing a review so late. The price is 50 rupees, which at the time of purchase was 50 rubles. Agree, the price is excellent, for such a composition, in Russia they cost four times more, which is no more than many other drops:
- The bottle itself is also of high quality, with easily readable printed information:
- The dispenser is convenient. They write that the drops do not cause any side effects if you do not touch the eyelid with the dispenser:
- The drops are transparent and liquid like water, there is no smell:
- Instructions included:
I needed the drops to relieve irritation after using contact lenses and relieve tension when working at the computer.
I couldn’t find any information about whether it was possible to put drops on lenses, so I didn’t risk it, I only put it in after removing the lenses. Well, I always wear glasses at the computer.
And they never helped. After removing the lenses, there was an unpleasant effect from the drops, as if the irritation was intensified even by the sand in the eyes.
Well, to relieve tension after the computer, when applying the drops there was simply a short-lived unpleasant effect. The drops dried up and the unpleasant effect went away. But there is no tension in the eyes.
I may have an individual perception of Himalaya products. Of all the things we brought, there was little I liked. My profile contains many reviews of this company's products.
And the wonderful Indian drops that I mentioned at the beginning - ITONE, which helped with real eye problems and then I used them for a long time to prevent and relieve irritation. A review of them can be found at this link.
I do not recommend OphthaCare drops.

Indian eye drops: Ayurvedic remedies, review, benefits
Not all people appreciate modern ophthalmic products. Among the most famous and effective alternative medicine drugs, medications created by Indian manufacturers stand out.
They are based largely on the knowledge of Ayurvedic medicine, which has been practiced for many centuries. By the way, in India these drugs are prescribed and used on a par with modern drugs.
They have a lot of advantages:
- Safety. Thanks to the natural base, the likelihood of side effects is reduced.
- Complex impact combined with high efficiency. Many extracts have an equally good effect on various tissues of the organs of vision and thereby restore the normal functioning of the eyes as a whole.
- A good alternative to surgery. For many ophthalmological diseases, it is possible to improve the situation without surgery, which always carries risks after external intervention.
- Affordable price. Here you don’t have to overpay for a new name, because time-tested drugs are created with almost no changes in the recipe. They also do not require additional advertising, and this does not reduce the number of people who want to use them.
- Economy. Many Indian drugs are produced in volumes larger than those of traditional medicine.
Among the disadvantages, one can note only a not so quick effect, but when it comes to eye health for many years to come, you need to be patient and follow the therapeutic regimen prescribed by a specialist.
Indications
The main effect that Ayurvedic Indian eye drops have is an increase in blood microcirculation in the tissues of the eye. This is exactly what almost every modern person suffers from, and constant attention to gadgets only increases the negative impact. The use of Indian eye drops provides the following effect:
- correction of visual acuity up to bringing it to normal;
- general improvement in the quality (acuity) of vision;
- prevention and treatment of inflammatory processes and infectious eye diseases;
- relieving discomfort and fatigue in the eyes;
- the possibility of restoring visual ability without surgery.
It can be useful for a variety of conditions, ranging from conjunctivitis, blepharitis or stye to myopic disorders, glaucoma and cataracts. Of course, the situation of each specific patient is individual, and therefore the indications and therapeutic effect also differ.
Review of drugs
There are a huge number of ophthalmic products made in India. Basically, they are in the form of drops, since it is the liquid composition that has the most complete effect on the eye tissue. Not all Indian eye drops are known outside the country of origin, but this list is constantly growing thanks to reviews from grateful customers.
Aisotin
This drug is produced by one of the leading Indian pharmaceutical companies. In the instructions, the manufacturer indicates the following composition (extracts):
- Zheleznik (Achyranthes). This plant is very actively used in the field of medicine in many Asian countries. Its extract has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects, which means it will be effective in inflammatory processes of an infectious nature.
- Boerhavia spreading (punarnava). The components of this herb have anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and diuretic effects. The effect of improving and restoring the functionality of nerve and muscle tissues is known. also has the ability to enhance local regenerative processes.
- Butea single-seeded. Thanks to the huge amount of bioflavonoids in this herbaceous plant, its extract improves local metabolism, due to which all processes proceed faster. Cell nutrition is restored, and many disorders go away on their own. There are also valuable minerals here, including zinc, as well as vitamin A, which plays a key role in the issue of visual acuity.
- Aluminum alum. This substance has the ability to create the thinnest invisible film that protects the mucous membrane of the eyeball from harmful external influences.
- Zinc oxide. It has a slight drying and absorbing effect, which stops putrefactive processes in the tissues of the eyes.
Indications for use include glaucoma, myopathic disorders, strabismus, cataracts, color blindness, periods of rehabilitation after surgery and other causes of visual impairment, including toxic effects (after insect and snake bites). In the first days of use, there is a possibility of discomfort, which usually goes away after 1-2 days of use. If unpleasant symptoms persist, it is necessary to stop treatment with Isotin and additionally consult a doctor.

The product is also indicated for use in cases of constant eye strain, which many modern people experience.
Among the advantages of these drops is the ability to use them for a long time (including indefinitely, if indicated). This once again speaks about the safety of the drops.
